Any kind of ''appointment'' aggravates the hell out of me now! Just love no schedule of any kind! LOL

I am looking forward to real cooking again. I feel like I'm always too tired or stressed to do it now, but I have wondered if it would feel like too much 'work' after retirement. Say it ain't sooo

Verizon guy: "You'll like this iPhone because my grandpa likes it and he doesn't get too confused with the features". Oh yeah? Really? Not a successful sales pitch...

Oh I'm there, big time. It's funny when I consider that there was a time when I wouldn't go anywhere, even outside if there was a chance that someone would see me, without putting on makeup. And I know I looked better without it then than I do now, by any stretch of the imaginatiin, but I don't care now!

The good thing about retirement is you can cook from scratch if you feel like it, open cans, boxes, bags from the freezer if and when that suits you more.

I don't understand why having a medical or dental appointment would be aggravating. Or an appointment with your tax man (if you don't do taxes yourself). Or an appointment to have a roofer come out and give an estimate. Or an accepted invitation to a Christmas party (which is an appointment of sorts).

All those things and others are just part of life and it seems bizarre to me be irritated about them. What are you giving up to keep those appointments? Your fourth cup of coffee? The freedom to watch television 24/7? The freedom to take a nap whenever the fancy strikes you? ("Oh dear, I have my tax appointment this afternoon so I won't be able to take a nap at 2 p.m. Oh, the horror.")

yes - giving all that up and more.

I feel the same way - I know it has to be done, but just hate doing it.

What would be great is if you were driving around and felt the "urge" to have a dental cleaning - and just drop in and get it done. But having it scheduled is just so - ugh.

Same with going to wedding etc. Now I feel bad for getting married the first time i did in August! I told my niece a few years ago that it was too hot to get married then.

Just want to lead a care free life that doesn't require dental cleanings, medical probing, Christmas parties, weddings, etc.

Might be kind of hard to understand, but I don't understand why people live to cut grass and pull weeds in their yards....
