Astronaut. I just felt so disconnected from the rest of the world.

I did food service for a couple of weeks. That was enough. I worked at a resort in the Poconos bussing tables. We started at 6:30 am. Worked breakfast for 2 hours, then lunch for 2 hours (11:30-1:30), then dinner for 4 hours (4:30-8:30).

Moved to TX for an office job; long story but job was not "there." After a few weeks the company said they would "let me work in their factory."

It was very bad as I am not especially clever with my hands for wiring and shooting screws. Some days carried a broom and swept the floor for 10 hours/day.

I just hated it.

For me it was pest control. Crawling through attics in Florida in August doing termite inspections. Spraying termite chemicals on the ground for new housing starts. Tenting houses for termites. I did manage to last for four months.

Outside sales. I was good at it, made good money, but couldn't stand the manipulation aspect of selling - I felt slimy.

FYI it was very tempting to make something up. The first thing that came to mind was "Restaurant bathroom cleaner at a 'The Jalapeno House Mexican Restaurant' that specialized in extra hot, extra spicy food!"

Phone sales for Time-Life books. I lasted 6 weeks.

I apologize if you were one of my calls.

I can't really think of one, they were all learning experiences. Now if the OP asked who is the worst boss I ever had I could answer that in a heartbeat.
