Future (since retirement is still TBD)

In truly warm weather (rare at the Hillbilly Shack but more common when we travel inland, which is almost any direction other than due west):
Baggy shorts, print t, flip flops or if closed shoes are required, athletic shoes with low socks.

Else:

Jeans, or shorts, t-shirt, similar foot wear, layer up as needed.

Polo shirt and shorts in warm weather, polo and jeans when cooler. Starting to feel the cold much more, so starting to have a hoodie on much more often than when younger.
My personal bugbear is shoes. I have bad feet so need to wear supportive athletic shoes when I would be much happier in flip flops or bare footed. Arches wont allow that anymore 😡

$ 19.99 Costco shorts and Hawaiian shirts. Only thing I splurge on is good quality Merrell walking shoes. Pair I have now have lasted almost 10 years.

I am all about comfort now that I'm retired. Most days, winter and summer, I wear leggings with a hip length or longer top. I love wearing patterned leggings but prefer a solid colored top. In the summer I wear a light weight legging like Agnes and Dora's. In the winter I change over to heavier weight ponte leggings from The Loft. I wear Tieks or other ballet flats until it gets too cold and then switch over to knee high riding boots. Hanging my head with shame over this admission but at least a couple days a week I wear my loungewear all day.

For most of my life and I fully expect nothing will change in retirement my non-work wardrobe has consisted of shorts and a NY Yankees t-shirt. Pick one, I have about 40 different ones in the closet. I will even walk the dog in January in that outfit here in NY though I may put a Yankee zip-up sweatshirt over it.
