Yep, I was getting Plantar Fasciitis ln one foot, and went to a Foot Dr. Gave me cordisone shots and it cleared up, then he suggested fitted inserts for my shoes. Those have helped immensely and I wear them every time I have shoes on.

Of all the ailments old age had brought on, the one that surprised me the most is my leg and foot pain issues. Just this week I had to go to Centra Care because I limped out of work with a badly inflamed knee. I am on steroids and other stuff right now and it is clearing up, but I never considered I would have leg and foot issues as I aged.

OMG, you made me remember my grandmother's hammer toes. Her feet were positively CRIPPLED after years of wearing high heels because that's what the well-dressed woman was supposed to wear.

When I got to the age to want high heels, my grandmother took me aside and showed me her feet and told me how they got to be that way and encouraged me to never wear heels. Thanks to her excellent advice I have never worn heels for more than a few hours, and never to work. In fact, I haven't worn any kind of shoes at all except to mow for over 30 years. I wear rafting sandles - VERY safe and grippy.

When I first heard of the ancient Chinese tradition of foot-binding, I thought it was absolutely barbaric. High heels are pretty much in the same class. Just one more way for men to sexualize women and make it harder for us to run away from them.

Another fan of crocs! I wore orthopedic shoes as a child. I need a flat style with a lifted front. I wear side zip boots (ankle support and easy to get on) with inserts when it gets cold.

Time to shop for sandals

whoever said "when your feet hurt, you hurt all over" was right

We're only as strong as the bottom of our feet.

Also, standing and holding on to counter and do toe to heel stretches. This is a good one.

So you got on the statin wagon? I believe so much deception going on with the cholesterol myth/fear and their push for the drugs which cause so many health issues. bahhh

I am kind of in that same situation. My diabetes is controlled with metformin, A1c is somthing like 6.1, but, my feet seem numb, burning, feeling like walking on uneven rocks all the time. This thing has slowly developed but, this past week I just can't seems to be affecting me very much.
