I wouldn't want my 40 years younger girlfriend in her 30's (like you have) to get ahold of this!!

It could kill sexual attraction to you for her!

Do not live in a one-story dwelling. Doing stairs multiple times a day is good for us.
Walk instead of drive unless your errand is more than a mile away.
Do yoga or a weighted work-out at least twice a week. (Both is better).
Do not become socially isolated; face to face contact with other humans is good for us.
Keep your mind active as well as your body.
Live in a one story dwelling for that inevitable time but take the stairs in other buildings you don't own.

Eat and exercise as little as possible to be as functional and strong as you need to be. Nap the rest of the time. Rinse and repeat.

Free exercise.........parking in a spot a ways away from the store's entrance instead of circling for a closer parking spot. I have parked and gotten to the door in the time it takes some drivers to wait for someone to pull out.

Also, as others have said, take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever you can.

Of course this is only recommended to those who can walk without needing assistance of any kind or who have other difficulties walking.

If I can do it today, I can do it tomorrow. Take the stairs, walk the dog, do my own housework and gardening, stay involved, see my friends.
