One person that I started working with in 1976 I still email 1-2 times a year. That's it, and I have been working many years.

One from 20 years ago. Amount of contact varies, now just 2-3 emails in a year. But I see him when I go visit the city where we worked together in another state. Will we stay in contact in the future? Can't say. I'm okay with it either way.

We started 4 tech companies together and worked at 3 other companies.

I have a couple others who are more in the "colleague" category where we talk on the phone from time to time.

Only in pre year 2000. I've made 2. I've lost track of them since. So the answer is zero now.

Two that I've known for years.

One was from my first job out of college. Talk to her once a month or every month. She rode with me to that job for awhile and got to know her fairly well on the long rides through the Virginia mountains.

I talk to a coworker from one of my previous jobs a few times a week. Good friend of mine. I interviewed him and liked him basically immediately.

I keep in occasional touch with others on Facebook and LinkedIn but we are not particularly close.

I had a couple of work friends that I saw outside of work, but they weren't "lifelong friends". When I changed jobs that friendship ended....so -0-

Both bridesmaids in my wedding were former workmates from different jobs, still in touch with the surviving one (who lives 5000 miles away). Also sometimes see a friend from another job (when we visit her area 2500 miles away).

I don't tend to form lasting friendships even with folks outside of work, so having 3 work friends for 40 years is pretty cool.

I Moved around too much. One high school friend is on FB. We both live in cities other than the one in which we went to school. Friends I made in the 80's and 90's also on FB are in the last city in whichI lived. No one I see in person.

Whoops. Sorry. I just read the last part that said "through work." I missed that the first time I read it. Answer to that is
on FB only from the late 80's. We only became reacquainted when I joined FB last year.
