I answer for my husband. He collected at 64.5, beginning of the year.

I started drawing benefits at 66 years, 8 months; took the "unclaimed" months as a monthly benefit increase rather than a lump-sum, would have "stayed out" a little longer if my employment prospects had been a bit better

I am not 60 yet. But I did vote. The plan is to collect at 70 but I will revisit it each year I am eligible.

65.. because thankfully I will get a pension that, like SS, increases the longer I wait to start it.
I am using SS payments to pay fed. taxes on Roth conversions.

Applying in the next couple of months to draw first payment at 62.

My people don't live a long time. Brother passed this year a full ten years younger than our mother who passed at 78.
