Happy Birthday !
One fact of getting to this point of time is that I was born near the first half of the last century and can remember people talking about the winter of aught 6 and now that the year is 2017, I can say that too.
The most important lesson in counting the revolutions that you've made around the sun is that you should be growing wiser and not just older.
However, so many of us have that arrested development, ( Peter Pan syndrome), going on that we never grow up.
I wish you the best and that you have many more revolutions around that hot star that gives all of us life.

I used to say I was "pushing 50"
Then I was pulling it.
Now I'm pulling 60...

70 here...50's didn't bother, neither did 60's, but hitting 70 makes me feel old, can't deny it. I know it's all "in my head" because the day I turned from 69 to 70 I figured I must be circling the drain....

Nice to read all the positive minded comments. I just am getting over a very sore and painful foot problem, limped around like a sick dog for a while. While that was going on, my dr. ordered an ultrasound of my abdomen, it seemed to reveal 3 horrific things, which seemed to me was a death sentence. She the ordered a ct of said abdomen and pelvis. I was getting my mind all ready for the bad news, making a list of end of life preparations and then Friday, I think, got the news that everything was all clear. Just turned 70 in June, so, anyway, I've got a bit of a new lease on life and I am glad and hoping that we are all doing good.

Nice to do what you like on your birthday! Deviled eggs for breakfast (or anytime) sounds great.

I am a few years older than you and have given up on those ID pictures. Mine looked like a stupid little biddy and my husband's looked like an angry convict, but we persevere. Gotta keep a decent attitude!
