Children always criticize and judge their parents and give names to them when they don't get what they want. Someday it will be their turn.

My kids may think I'm eccentric at times, but the grandkids know full well I'm not normal, they spend more time with me. They aren't old enough to put it all together though, but give them a couple of years.

Robin Hood was the Florida Studio Children's Theatre's first performance of the season this morning. As we drove to the theater in Sarasota, I gave the grandkids a quick synopsis of the Robin Hood tale and then starting singing "Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen....." before two voices from the backseat cried out "Grandma, STOP"!

We were seated and the performance started, following my synopsis, when one of the actors launched into singing "Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen.....". The look on the grandkid's faces as they turned to look at me was priceless. How DID Grandma know this?

I figure I have a few more years before I'm found out and then I'll be just another eccentric grandma. For now, I'm pretty amazing at times to those two.

When our son herd that MrsM and I both bought guns, took CCW classes (and carry) and take 4-5 firearms classes a year he thought that we lost it.

We didn't

Someone just sent this and I just had to post it in this thread:

How to Maintain a Healthy Level Of Insanity in RETIREMENT...

1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on, point a hair dryer at passing cars and watch them slow down!

2. On all your check stubs, write, "For Sexual Favors"

3. Skip down the street rather than walk, and see how many looks you get.

4. With a serious face, order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat.

5. Sing along at The Opera.

6. When the money comes out of the ATM, scream, 'I Won! I Won!'

7. When leaving the Zoo, start running towards the car park, yelling, 'Run For Your Lives! They're Loose!'

8. Tell your children over dinner, 'Due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go....'

9. Pick up a box of condoms at the pharmacy, go to the counter and ask where the fitting room is.

10. Go to a large Department store's fitting room, drop your drawers to your ankles and yell out, "There's no paper in here!"

If my kids think I'm crazy it was the two of them who drove me there.

This thread made me laugh out loud!

My kids all think I'm wonderful, and beautiful, and wise, and they love to spend time with me.

Oh, wait, I don't have kids.
