This is a message I received from Curm in May when I wrote him to express my sympathy for his loss.

I did hear a couple of times briefly in July, but nothing to really put here.

From Curmudgeon:

"Nothing I've experienced in life prepared me to lose My Peggy, her love, our relationship and our partnership. It was all so sudden and unexpected. But I truly believe she's still here and with me in spirit and that faith helps a lot.

My three daughters and two stepdaughters want me to move back to Sacramento, California so they can "take care of me." My two sons want me to move to the Columbus, Ohio area where they are for the same purpose. The youngest wants me to move in with him and his family.

I've said "No" to all of them. My Peggy loved the Ozarks . She'd spent most of the 70s in this region. and missed it terribly. She always wanted to one day return. I made that happen for her when I retired and I love it here. It's our home and I have no plans to leave.

Don't worry about me leaving C-D. Not happening. I will continue to post and, hopefully, be of some help to them.
"

Sorry it took me a while to post this.

I noticed when I was reviewing Curm's profile there was a status update dated mid September 2017.

Oh my. Hopefully this is a time-out, to rest and re-fuel, so-to-speak. Warm wishes for his health.

NYgal, thank you for sharing and posting this.

He still posts. I’ve seen recent posts from him. He will probably venture back around.

I can’t imagine how I would deal with it should Mrs5150 go before me. I wish the best for Curmudgeon.

Last time he posted was September 7th. I've been wondering about him, although it appears he last checked the board ten days ago - but didn't post.

His profile is accessible only to his friends so thanks for sharing his status with the rest of us.
