It is 50 miles east of Ft Lauderdale, FL. I have been there, it is nice and the real estate runs about 900K for an empty lot to 5.5mm for a new oceanfront home.
She's a pretty good example of an American success story. Waitress. Jumped into a man's business. Made a hefty sum of money in an industry where she found her niche. Gotta applaud her.
definitely doesn't fit the commoners' ideal retirement plan being around health care, near grocery shopping, near cultural activities - but shoot, if you have a helicopter/pilot, I guess the best Miami hospital and shopping is only minutes away.....
Was that video shot before this summer's Hurricanes ??
Luv the Suz.....but she got a pretty big boost from the Oprah Effect.
Yes but the storm went south of those islands....Bimini (8 miles away) had no power for a few days. Reports said 10 people stayed on the island (cat cay) during the storm.

Flights to Florida come in a daily, sometimes a few times a day during peak times. 29 minute flight back to Florida. Their local grocery store (about the size of an average 7/11) has a better selection than the much bigger island of Bimini 8 miles away.

Maybe more of her “fans” will buy more of her product so she can retire before 70? Might be another infomercial there!

Yeah, that "Oprah Effect" is pretty crazy, just look at Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz, both probably could have made pretty good money just doing their "regular" profession, but once you get your own TV show, you get into the ridiculous amounts of money. Same with Oprah's book club, which turns a nothing book into a NYT best seller over night!
