Could be too the very wealthy don't pay into SS, they have their tax people who do everything anyway. I don't know any millionaires/billionaires. I know some "comfortable financially" people who all collect SS and use Medicare.
Ok, let's break this down...

This doesn't even make sense. Literally, it can't be interpreted.

That's become abundantly clear thru this thread. Nonetheless, it's easy to criticize them.

That's because they have it coming. No one (except a few crazy people) turns down SS/Medi when they have it coming. They paid into for 20-40 years, why on earth would they NOT collect it?
It's become clear this thread isn't really a discussion. It's weird rants, mainly against "millionaires/billionaires" who are taking food out of the mouths of starving people. With an occasional post that makes no sense, just to see if we're really paying attention.

edit: or what mathjak said much more succintly while I was typing my diatribe.
Millionaires and up pay a high percentage of the taxes that keeps the system afloat.
I am thankful for their contributions. Having transplanted from a high income, high tax state I am grateful for the quality of life they provided me to raise a family in and retire with.
Again I'm talking about the multi million/billionaires... They can afford anything and to take SS and Medicare to me seems just wrong. These programs I thought were designed for the middle to lower class incomes.
Actually paying into it and not being allowed to benefit from it seems just wrong. I'm sure they would agree to not collecting if they didn't have to pay into it though. Is that what you want?
i think jamin should be allowed to contribute in to his ira but at the end when he is ready to start to use it , it should be taken and he should be told it is going to only those with incomes and net worth's less than his .

Don't laugh, some people (those who didn't plan or take action to prepare for their retirement years) would support that.
My insurance has gone from $440 a month (2011) to $1080 (2017). Lucklily I go on Medicare March 1 or it would be around $1250 a month. Talking to my insurance guy, the $1080 I now pay is a pretty good deal and I still have a PPO. Almost all new policies now are HMO.
An Individual can now pay $12-16,000 a year and family coverage can easily go over $20,000.
The Obamacare market is collapsing since no one can hardly afford the costs.
The government has done nothing to stabilize our health care system and it will continue to balloon faster than income making it impossible for many to get coverage and I’m not talking about lower income is the middle class that is increasingly finding difficult to pay for health insurance.
low income finds it the easiest . medicaid and subsidies have made it far cheaper for them than those in the middle . especially those who have to get it on their own like retirees at 62 .

That's why low income should not be so upset. While the middle class who won't get help and has to saved enough to pay their medical needs, low income doesn't have to worry about it because medicaid pays for their health care expenses.
Lets say there are 2 people in a hospital room, one on medicaid, the other is middle class. The medicaid recipient won't have medical bills while the middle class person will go home to bills up the wazoo and they both got the same care.
