In Wisconsin it was -15. We always stay home. Steak, lobster and a movie. Celebrated this year the 42nd anniversary of our 1st date. New Years Eve 1975.

Maybe he was texting us from the fabulous party he was at.

Stayed home war in bed with my Sweetie watching War and Remembrance with Robert Mitchum. The whole series is 30 hours long so won't finish for a few weeks. Such a great Classic.

Warm in bed beats cold and hungover.

We have a huge family party every year at my BIL/SIL's about 30 miles away. We got home at 2am.

NOTHING will be accomplished today.

Still watching “The Twilight Zone” today. Got some ironing done. I was invited to a Property Party later on. I may or may not go. I am just too comfy at home. My family really ran me ragged when they were here and I think I’m still on down time.

Happy New Year!
I did Times Square in New Years 1977-8 and 1979-80. The first one the less said about the better. I went with a friend from college and he turned out not to be a lifelong colleague but a loser. 1979-80 was far better. I went out with the woman who set me up with my wife.

Obviously, that poster did not read my post well. What is new?

I worked a show at 7:00 pm and we finished up around 10 pm. We picked up a pizza at Safeway and were home by 11:30 pm. That IMO constitutes going out on New Years Eve.

Too scared to be on the roads!!
They just legalized marijuana here in California.

So besides the drunks on the road, we have to look out for the stoners on the road.

Not happy abt that!!

We had planned to stay home mostly because fire works and dogs don't go well together. We had pizza for dinner and I baked cookies. Spent the rest of the evening reading and playing games online. Listened to some old time radio New Year's Eve shows from before we were born.

By 1am all was quiet so we went out to a local casino to get some ribs. Emerald Island in Henderson, a whole world away from the insanity on the Strip and Fremont Street. No crowds and the roads were pretty empty. While we were waiting for the ribs we won $800 playing Volcanic Rockfire.

It was a pretty good New Year's Eve for us!

We had a steak and seafood feast with our grown children then they left to attend a party. Hubby and I were sleeping by 11pm. Sleep is more important than partying and I dislike loud groups of drunken people, thanks.

Hugs are ok to say Happy New Year, but some of the parties we used to go to when we were younger, the guys kissed all the women on the lips... yuck!! I turned my head lol.
