Well, I graduated high school in the 70's and feel I grew up then and the 60's but some of these terms I have never heard and some I still use. I have been known to say Cool Beans and To the Max sometimes; not often but sometimes.
I've heard people say he's a spaz (back then) and people still say they work for The Man.
How about you? Supposed to be a fun thread.
I actually remember a lot of people saying "Really" to everything and also "Far Out"
Saying something is ''tough'' when you mean you really like it.
''groovy''
''far out!''
''tubuler!''
''Peace, brother!''
''Dig that!''
I still say much of this stuff. I guess I am stuck in a time warp.
Okay, Bette! Hubby and I discussed this -- we both graduated from the same Illinois high school in the 70's, and these are the ones we remember. Fun thread!
Catch you on the Flip Side
Out to Lunch (like not all there)

Space Cadet
Sit on It
Take a Chill Pill
Boogie [on] Down
Really

What's happening?
You dig it?
The Man I still hear this often
Spaz This is now politically incorrect. It's dissing a physical disability.
Stella Yelled, as by Brando from the play 'The Streetcar Named Desire'
Catch you on the Flip Side
Out to Lunch (like not all there)
Cool Beans I don't remember hearing this in the 70s, but my older sister says it often
To the Max
Lay a Gasser
Skinny (as in "give me the skinny")
10-4, good buddy 'We got ourselves a convoy!' (from the movie Convoy)
Bogue (that is spelled correctly; never heard of it) maybe a shortening of 'bogus'?
Space Cadet
Sit on It Fonz. Happy Days. A euphemism for a more risque phrase.
Take a Chill Pill I still use this once in a blue moon
What a Fry
Stop Dipping in my Kool Aid
Brick House
Psyche!
Do me a Solid
Boogie Down

I graduated high school just shy of the 70's. Haven't heard of some of this list, but am familiar with others. I don't have any more to add - went to private schools where slang was discouraged (boring!)
To all of the people who have already posted: Do you really think these idioms are no longer in use? I can't believe it . I still say many of them although today's 20 year olds probably use fewer of them. Money is still known as "bread. What's happening? Weird? Space cadet. Foxy. Spaz. Out-to-lunch.
Not only are they still in use but as I recall, (am am 60) some of these were in use way before the 70's.
When I retired four years ago, I rarely, if ever, heard the following terms from the citizenry that I served:
Fuzz
The Heat
John Law
Bull
Dick (Tracy)
Poison
Barney Fife
I was still referred by the following:
Pig
Gestapo
Donut
1-F**K-12
Aah. I miss the old days....
