Hello,

I am searching for the house that is adjusted for elderly people.

My parents are in their seventies, dad is super active has a great health, but mom from time to time needs health care. They want to go in country side, but I would like them to be as near as possible. So, we basically need something to rent every two or three weeks for few days.

Firstly I was looking for something in retirement villages and I learn that they have beautiful homes adapted and everything, but they are selling them, not renting them. I am from Sydney, and I am not really good with options in USA, but my parents want to go - and I can't cut them on that.

I would like to find them 3 or 4 places to rent it for a couple of month each. [mod cut to remove URL]

Anyone can help with this?

Don't know what you mean by: So, we basically need something to rent every two or three weeks for few days.

You could search for 55+ Communities or Senior Housing and ask if they have short term rentals available. If you find one, then ask your list of questions about whether or not it has the features you need.

When my parents were in an Assisted Living place, my aunt came for a visit and was able to stay in one of their empty rooms for a few days. But they didn't have empty rooms very often.

You could try searching for Extended Stay Hotels. Many hotels have rooms for people with disabilities which might have walk-in showers (as opposed to tubs), grab bars, etc. The Extended Stay places usually have small kitchenettes.

It's still not clear to me what your parents want to do. Are you talking about visiting various areas? Going on tours? If you can be more specific regarding where (what states, cities) they want to visit, you might get more suggestions from people on this forum.
