I actually live on a golf course overlooking 9th green, 1st tee....and shake my head at myself for all the years I dedicated to the game (and now wish I hadn't). I liked having a passion for something, but I really went overboard with it.

I was the same way, with a single digit handicap as well, and don't regret any of it. I'm not retired but I finally lost the passion for the game. But that does not mean I stopped playing, and it sure does not mean I'll not play in retirement. Just the opposite. I hope to rekindle my passion once I have the time.

You can still enjoy golf while also doing all the other things you listed. A lot of free time will make that happen.

I'm hoping RV campgrounds offer some - haven't really been happy w/ what's out there like Good Sams. A lot of places offer military discount.
