Only they know?? Maybe they don't want to ever forget or maybe they feel pressured by society.

An older lady I know just became a widow and people are already talking about when she will be married again!

Because they still love their deceased husbands.

There was a many pages thread here awhile ago, I forgot the title, where the great majority of widowed retired women don't want to remarry.
Did you ever think that it is because they loved their husbands and want to look ar the ring as a reminder

Oh lordy, I've had this ring on my finger for over 32 years now. If John leaves first I will still wear my wedding ring and his on a chain around my neck. He is the love of my life and death will never change that.

ROFL! Hadn't thought of it in the terms of a no pest strip, but I could see where it might be!

Unless those pests don't care whether or not you are married.

Exactly. My mother passed recently and I wear her simple wedding band on my right hand. It reminds me of her. I think of all of the times she must have looked down and seen that ring on her own finger, particularly when she was a young mother of four.

My mother hasn't worn her ring for about 5 years. my father passed 8 years ago. I asked her where her wedding set was. She said she wasn't married any more. Even tho it made sense it still made me sad.

I suppose some of them do. How long is a different matter.

I would not stop wearing mine.

It has a large center stone that is very beautiful.

My wedding band was my mothers.

Same here. If I remain, I will have his band sized down and stack it with mine on the same finger.
