politically correct, you should read US history and economics and stop spreading subtle and not so subtle prejudice and ignorance. Your comment was made about every group of people that came as immigrants to this country, that includes, Blacks, Jews, Asians, Poles, Irish and Italians. I guess your ancestors don't fit any of those categories.
Lack of employment is not due to immigrants. It's due to policies that don't take care of American citizens in their older age.

No I don't think retirees would have more jobs available to them. The types of jobs they do require hard physical labor and long hours.

I just can't see a crew of retired folks working construction or landscaping in 90-100 degree weather.

The majority of the immigrants, and I presume you're talking about the illegals with limited or no skills, are working in the lowest paid menial jobs. The lucky ones are working for a few pennies more at McDonalds or other fast food food restuarants.
Is that what you want to do when you retire?
