Hmmmm, either our communication is imperfect, or you are one very unusual woman.
To clarify, why would an elderly woman (which is referring to the topic of discussion, not to your age) want to be a concubine to a man who has a concubine or two? Many women (especially the feminazis that get on TV regularly) would call me a lot of choice names for just bringing it up.
I would take men as my "concubines", so to speak.
Without using an inflammatory work like "concubine", aren't we just talking about maintaining a few casual relationships?
I MAY have totally lost track of the conversation though.... I am not advocating for additional relationships in a marriage (for myself).
I thought we were talking about if we ended up single.... I did the "younger and funner" for a bit after my first husband passed.

Well I understood your meaning, even if TRex didn't.
As a woman, if I should lose my husband, I'd just want a "boy-toy" or two. LOL....Seriously, I think I'd be happiest with the occasional, casual FWB situation. No strings, no commitments. I definitely wouldn't be looking for someone to take care of, or someone to take care of me for that matter. It's hard to find people that you can trust though, and I would be very careful to avoid getting cozy with anyone who might be looking for a sugar-mama.
yes , i believe women want security---i know this because when i approach them they yell " security , security " ha ha ha
does this rag smell like chloroform to you ???? lol
You ARE the diet coke of evil...

OK, our communication was, indeed, imperfect.
I have no idea what a male version of a concubine would be...
I was using the word in a simi-strict definition, but with the understanding that it would only be if my wife passed before I do. Right now, the two of us are like two trees that grew beside one another and our roots and branches (emotions and spirits) are hopelessly entangled, with no room for another.
I define a concubine similarly to a wife, with the same day to day benefits (food, shelter, protection, routine personal liberty, etc) , but without inheritance rights, and without the authority, a wife would have in a marriage.

Gigolo or boy toy works.
Not really, since those imply no relationship, other than, sexual,
or short term (hours or days) contract,
and that is antithetical to the definition of concubine.
A young woman on YouTube has stirred the hearts of many men over the past few months. I suggest watching the video, then reading the comments. This will surprise some.

Certain women always command respect.
...
Too bad we can't rate a post negatively,
this post was off topic and worthless.
(Even though the video was mildly interesting)
