I have worn eyeglasses since I came up with a lazy eye at about 21 or so. Have had some many frames in my life and really have enjoyed colors etc. I would never consider eye surgery unless absolutely necessary nor contact lens. No foreign matter in these eyes. No cataracts at 80 either. Wear sunglasses sun or shade.

Most are very inexpensive to produce, worth just a few dollars but are sold for $50, $100, or more.

Coatings are another major ripoff. You have to have them but they are sold at high prices and work poorly. For my last eyeglasses, I went whole hog and spent a couple hundred dollars for Crizal coatings. They scratched in less than a year even though I only used microfiber clothes to clean them. Personally I don't think they were scratched but seemed to have delaminated. For $25 I was able to get replacements lenses. Now in less than another year, the same problem has occurred but there is no warranty coverage.
I've been wearing a pair of Zenni's for three years now. The frames were about $7. Most comfortable frames I have ever worn.
