It's not really news that men have been fathering children at older -- even elderly -- ages.

Actor Tony Randall (his wife) had his first kid when he was 77. And another one at 78.
The late Senator Strom Thurman fathered kids in his 60's.
Plenty of male celebrities father kids -- some their FIRST children -- in their mid-late 60s.

Heck, WOMEN are having kids in their 50s.
Actress Adrienne Barbeau gave birth to twins at age 51!
So many women have kids in their 40s that's not news either.

Well, if he put his own selfish personal needs aside, I'm certain it's not very ideal for the child to be in high school and having his father already dead of old age or in a nursing home, but whatever.

Actually, HE'S not having a baby - his wife is.

That being said, I can't imagine becoming a parent again at his age, or even at mine, and I'm younger than he is!

He won't be pushing 90, he'll be dead. Pathetically selfish.

If he inherited his parents' genes, he could make it to 90+.

Technically, it is his 35-year-old wife who is actually having the baby, so his assumed physical fragility due to age will not be jeopardized by the gestation and birthing process.

In any event, he is a wealthy man. The stresses an ordinary mortal of his age would experience in bringing a new baby into his family and home will be significantly mitigated by his ability to pay for all the help that may be required. And it is unlikely that the other natural expenses of raising and educating a child will present much difficulty to him, either.

He'll be fine.
