I think she was saying a little indulgence every now and then is a good thing because, who knows?

I also remember this one. She (Irma) was a funny woman. Sad she's gone.

Kind of goes along with using your best china and silver every day instead of waiting for a special time.

I will buy some small miniature item every now and then for my still to-be-built dollhouse.

This isn't a monthly indulgence, but I bought it for the year. I bought a paid subscription to FEI TV to watch the show jumping. I used to watch it around 1999-2000, but haven't had cable or the money or a TV since then to really follow it. Now show jumping is on their FEI TV website and I'm just delighted! Six shows this week between Thursday and Saturday. For me, it's well worth the money spent for the happiness I get to finally watch the shows again.

Socks!

I love to indulge in pretty socks, various colors, patterns, etc, all in cashmere blends, etc. I watch for sales at Macys, Ebay, etc. I usually buy 3-6 pair/month.
