I've never named or had a desire to name any car. I find it a bit weird.

Boy, on this thread, you can certainly tell which posters have a sense of humor, and those who don't!

When I met my wife to be, she had a 64 Ford falcon she named "Lulu". Lulu eventually threw a rod and that was the end for Lulu. She was traumatized and never named another car. I had an old Renault, I named POS. Had no heater and we lived in northern Idaho. I had a 25 mile commute to work, and boy was that fun!

Got my first car at the age of 9 to race around the farm fields and was hooked....a huge vehicle enthusiast my entire life but can not recall ever giving any of my cars a name.....I've had many 4x4's and the most awesome one that would blast through snow drifts and deep sand on the beaches was a 1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ...was simply a beast....and at times would refer to it as that but only when discussing deep snow or beach sand driving with someone....

Nice to read this thread and see how many have had names for their vehicles.....boats have always had names so why not cars.....I always will check out a boats name as some are really witty...the late NASCAR great Dale Earnhardt had a 100' Hatteras yacht custom made to his specs and he named it "Sunday Money" .......being he made most of his money racing on Sunday's....showed his wit which he rarely publicly would reveal. Nice to read some of the witty names here that were given to personal vehicles.

I hear ya....sometimes Velvet will let you into her trunk or glove compartment, sometimes she won't.

Of course, Benz will sometimes lift his tailgate when you push the button on the remote, sometimes he won't.

Absolutely! (We named our houses too.)

Our present car is called Mimi (taken from La Boheme); our tour bus is called Buster, and our houses were all named Fred! LOL!

(I name all my indoor plants too!)

Love and All Good Things,

Mahrie.
