All he has to do is lie about his age. People have been doing it for years. But after looking at his picture....he's never going to pass for anything under 64. Sorry dude, you're kidding yourself.

I actually like the idea. I think he is right. People change their gender, their religion, their race, their name, their weight, their breast size, their hair color... Why shouldn't he be allowed to change his birth date and age?
I'm thinking I would like to change my height.

Okay, seriously, while I agree that anyone should be able to change their DOB, what good does it do in the dating scene you if you LOOK your age like this guy does? It might look good on paper, but the face and body tell the true tale.

All he has to do is tell people he's 89 and everyone will say: Wow you look so young!
Some valid points and I expect this and similar cases to be litigated over the next several years.
It seems like a stunt, but still... one that needs to be hashed out. If a man can claim to be a woman to gain an edge in sports, or a cushier jail cell... then I don't think it is too much of a jump for a 65 year old to claim to be 50 to try and lock down a 30something woman.
Of course it is ridiculous. But Pandora's Box has kinda already been opened...

Go ahead and "identify" as whatever you like. Man, woman, tall, short, fat, skinny... whatever. But I'll use the sensory input and ability to discriminate to draw my own conclusions.
Nobody really cares if a man identifies as a woman. But you don't get to tell me what *I* identify you as.
This brings the concept of functional age vs. chronological age to mind. Certain characteristics about physical fitness, internal functions and mental capabilities can vary greatly between people of the same chronological age. If a person who was 50 was examined and found to have the functional capabilities of a typical person half that age, why not allow a reclassification of their legal age?
This would prevent the forced retirement due to age, of many who were still in good shape and fully capable of performing their jobs. Instead of giving the boot to airline pilots at age 65, regardless of their health and fitness, they could keep going, as long as they could demonstrate their capabilities for it. If you rode on a plane flown by a 95 year-old pilot, you'd be assured that you were in good hands. What could go wrong with that?
