That's great! But it provides an incentive for folks to utilize medicare advantage plans over traditional medicare. We only have traditional medicare in our area. It must save them money somehow.

Well it's about time. Maybe they will expand it to original medicare or medigap by the time I might need it.

It likely is going to have a charge for that feature . You may be able to do better with full LTC COVERAGE in a separate policy depending what the advantage plan costs and terms are . It says nothing about what they will cover and allow

That's great. Some states have an IHSS program for seniors on very low income. Depending on your level of assistance, they determine how many hours per week you need and help you locate qualified workers. It was great for my mom. She lived in a subsidized IL facility, but the IHSS worker allowed her to stay there rather than go to an AL for what really amounted to 3 hours of assistance per day. AL would not have been financially possible.
