I'm putting this in the Retirement Forum since generally people have more time to watch these shows or if, as suggested, have you ever been a contestant?
Do you think it is rigged?
If you were a contestant or in the audience, was it fun?
I have a friend who was a contestant on "Press Your Luck" in 1985. The episode is on YouTube.
I was in the audience. Unfortunately, she took a gamble and lost. Sad. She really deserved some happiness in her life.
In the late Seventies, I had a lot of free time and would be in the audience for game shows, mainly "Hollywood Squares", since they gave away a TV as a door prize. Never won it. Peter Marshall was fun, though.
Five years ago, DH and I were in L.A. and attended the taping of "Wheel of Fortune." At the end, the ushers handed each of us a $25 Walmart gift card. Walmart was the sponsor for Christmas 2013. I'd never been in an audience where everyone got a prize.

No, but I have a young friend (40's) who was on Jeopardy's Teachers' Week. I was so impressed! I don't watch it because I usually know very few of the answers.
I took the OP's question to mean have you been on a game show as an older person?
If that's the intent. I don't see a lot of older people on game shows.
Not that people -- say 65 and older -- can't be as quick witted and have the same reaction time as a younger person. But most -- aren't and don't. But, to be honest, older people aren't what TV producers are looking for and never have been, even going back to the 1950s. COULD a 75-year-old person win on The Price is Right, Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune...sure they could...... But do I really see a 65-or-70 year old beating a decades younger person? Uh, no. They might have a better chance on Let's Make a Deal because that's ALL based on luck, not smarts or reaction time.
But then again most games shows have never featured a lot of folks over say.....60.
I even go back to the 1960s and Beat the Clock, Truth or Consequences, Split Second, the ORIGINAL Let's Make A deal, and in reruns "Say the Secret Word" hosted by Groucho Marks...none of them had many old people on.
I see lots of older folks on Price is Right. If you shop, and keep up on prices of luxury goods and cars, you can do well on it. I don't vacation in LA, so I've never been to a taping.
A friend was on "Jeopardy" back in the '90's. She came in second the first night.
