Where was being "depressed or despondent" mentioned in the OP? It simply asked if you were going to be either alone or with just a spouse and, if so, if you'd still have a big celebration.
Maybe the OP should pop up every few posts to remind people what the question was, since that seems necessary (people can't stick to the subject).
Please have mercy on that dead horse and cease beating it.

I just wanted to share in other people's plans and I thought everyone else would enjoy it too. I truly don't care what other's wish to share about their Thanksgiving or Christmas. They could share who they'll be with, where they might travel, what they are doing, if they are alone. I didn't start this to cause ill feelings, I really thought this was a subject that would be free from bickering and we might all enjoy it.
Finally, I know there are people in this world that get depressed during the holidays, when you lose family and friends it changes things. When they die on or near holidays, it's tough. I have compassion for those suffering from depression. I have no problem if someone shares this.
Thank you to everyone that shared your Thanksgiving plans, I enjoyed reading each one.

Yeah, my Thanksgiving meal ended up being a tuna melt sandwich. Let's hope I remember Christmas in time to get my pizza.
