It sounds like you want to drive there to take care of this. So, start driving! I understand you want to be there to make sure this gets straightened out and I don't blame you. Once you become established with your new home, get a home watch person. For now, safe travels and good luck!

Default Mystery solved

The city did come out to turn on the water on 11/19. When I got here I found a door hanger in the courtyard telling me that when they turned it on, the dial spun so they turned it back off at the shut-off valve.

The pool/spa/water feature systems draw water. I would not have known how to turn those off in any event.

But I flipped the shut-off valve and now there is water. The koi seem fine. Maybe I'll give them some lettuce or strawberries tomorrow to celebrate.
