It's all good until someone leaves a San Fran steamer on the sidewalk. Then I'd have issues. Otherwise, you should be free to invite who you want into your home.

A horde of cats came and devoured my Thanksgiving dinner. It was a conspiracy. My cat was the ringleader. Resistance was futile.

Told them it was Thanksgiving and I invited them into my home to share a meal. What is the problem? They left, no one went to jail, all is good.
No problem and it is wonderful that you did it. They were blessed that day for having you in their life.

OP please do come back and set us all straight.
Erm. yeah. I for one doubt the veracity of the OP. Seems like attention seeking, self aggrandizing and bragging attempt to me. And made up to boot.

OP would you ever invite homeless and TELL NO ONE? That'd be truly selfless. Broadcasting the fact one did this means the broadcaster is seeking attaboys and praise. Ick.

Unless a horde of blanket-swathed unkempt folks clutching multiple shopping bags, covered in filth, descended in a group HOW would ANYone know?

Maybe the OP is hallucinating? Drug/medicine induced?
