Yup! That's my go-to backup plan.

I started calling around this afternoon to tile removal companies and had some interesting experiences I'll post in another thread.

Good. I know it’s going to sound horrid to people who aren’t married to “Sheldons” (Big Bang Theory), but change to them is ALWAYS perceived as negative. Very very negative.

And you can talk yourself to death for months to get what you need, or just do it, and have the usual non blow up when he shows up to the change.

I have wondered about the wisdom of putting wood floors in places that are overrun with termites.

We have hardwood in our CA home. Never a problem with termites gnawing the floor. It seems to me that our termites prefer soft wood like pine.

Yep. Find the cushioned shoe that works best for you, and wear it. Once your knees start going, everything else Is affected too.

You might need more than cushioning, if your feet pronate. In that case, you’ll want to find arch support too.

Good luck.

My bad feet and knees were a major reason why we decided to go with LVP when we redid our kitchen floors. I did not think I could bear standing on unforgiving tile for long stretches of time.

But good cushioning under your feet will help you a lot.

lol, I'm not married to one but I am raising one. He's only 14 so not so negative yet, but definitely does not like change and has to work up to it.

I agree that if you can get him on board conceptually, getting it done when he's not there is a great approach because it's all the upheaval that is the worst of it.

I just ordered the zebra print Vionics for $30.00 from vionics.com. I have tile floors in my kitchen and they are cold and hard. Thanks for the advice.
