I use irish spring soap and for about a year now I put moisturizing lotion all over after my shower. I began with the lotion after getting hit with shingles and then a case of eczema last winter. I guess I do have very dry skin and very thin skin for that matter. Well, spill your guts!

Questions for Dustyroad70: Did you have the Shingles shot and still got the shingles? If didn't have the shot before, did a doctor recommend the shot after to prevent another occurrence?

Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar Soap is quite nice and non drying. I like pure almond oil for a general moisturizer. I don’t have a particular hour for bathing.

I got a horrible rash from Irish Spring soap when I was a teenager in the early 1970's. Haven't touched it since.

If you have no problems using it, great.

As far as how often a person bathes, it just depends on the person. If bathing too often leaves someone's skin too dry and they don't stink - why shower every day?

Hey, I shower at the same exact time! Except it's just on Wednesday.

J/K.

But I do like Irish Spring body wash.

We only use two kinds of soap, both are great for your skin. Other soaps break me out.

I too get a rash from Irish Spring (But it works well hanging in fruit trees as a Deer repellent )

As a farmer... I can't even imagine being indoors or burning daylight taking a shower mid-day (except while driving the tractor in the rain,)

Don't know the last time I was indoors at 4PM, Snow storm? Rain? Funeral?

Look in the laundry shelves for Mexican bar soap, ZOTE or LIRIO. It's about a buck for a one-pound bar, and is about as pure a soap as you can get without going to a craft fair. It's wonderful for shower, shave, shampoo. Zote even comes with English labeling now, as Americans are beginning to catch on.

I have a bar of Lifebuoy that I bought in Mexico. I have not seen it in a store here in years.

I have been pleased with Yardley soap. It comes in different flavors.
