Well that’s plain weird, why the heck would it matter to them? I love my short hair, easier to deal with, no need to use any products, need to get a trim every five or six weeks , is no biggie.
That's what i thought when it happened. Who cares. Well i guess i do since i am asking.

I don’t blame you feeling a bit weirded out about a group of people making an issue about your personal choices regarding your hair. I think I’d no longer want to waste my time around people like that, or I’d have some humorous way of shutting that conversation down immediately.
I retired and moved and lost my hairdresser. Two years later, my hair is down my back. I love it! I can put it up in a bun without looking. No money spent on trims. I bought some tortoise shell hair pins and I am good to go.
sorry biscuitmom
we could have an interesting conversation about what it means in our society when women are expected to "put their hair up", what it means when a woman lets her hair down, religions where women are expected to cover their hair, etc...... but I am ready for bed.
You mean if "older" women should cut their hair? Yes, several very long and heated threads about "masculine" hair on older women so please, let's not start this up again!

You use that word but I don't think "interesting" means what you think it means...
I love my long hair. I told them it was easier to take care of then short hair.
With short, i had to go get it cut every two weeks or so. Use product etc. Not so with long hair.
I was ambushed!!!

With long, I had to visit my hairdresser every month! And stress over hair products.

Well, I have short hair, but I've had short hair since I was in my 30's. I have thin, wavy (but not pretty-wavy) hair that just looks horrible long; plus long hair doesn't look particularly good with my facial shape. I get a lot of compliments on my haircut; it's not at all masculine.
