I support three. They cover very different subject matter, but they all have very informed people. They're pleasant, entertaining, and packed with information. None is political.

I know that old people are cheap. I know that few have any intellectual interests. However, I'm shocked that I'm the only person here who supports people who so richly deserve support.

I watch a lot of YouTube and its getting to the point where i watch more youtube than i do regular TV/cable. But, i do not support any youtubers via Patreon. I figure that watching the videos and not skipping the ads is payment enough.. at least for now. I don't begrudge those who have a patreon, i just don't partake. Maybe someday when i find a channel so amazing that i want to see their paid content.. but not yet.

Good for you. Too many people don't take into account the value the provider is delivering through their videos.

I guess that after watching 12 commercials in a 40 minute video, I am less likely to click on the Patreon button.

The three channels I cited don't have commercials. One is a gun channel and one is very small. I'm not sure about Jeff Williams.

Jay Leno's Garage has no commercials either. If he had a Patreon option, I'd sign up. It's a great channel.

I only watch YouTube for D-I-Y instructions. Most are affiliated with the businesses which sell the parts I will need, or businesses which will provide the repair services if I get in over my head. In either case the videos are advertisements for their business so I feel no compulsion to pay to watch.

I don't pay for the Sales Flyers which arrive in my snail-mail box either - until I go to the store to buy the product being advertised.

Pretty sure Jay doesn't need any money from me, lol. I don't have a TV either and just watch YT. I don't support any through Patreon. Just cheap, I guess.

I'm a fan of the forgotten weapons channel. He seems to be a military and unusual weapons genius. I don't subscribe to his or any other channel I watch because I assume they notify you of new content via e-mail, and I get far more e-mail messages than I want anyway. I don't use patreon. I avoid ads by paying extra for you tube premium or whatever it's called. I watch more you tube than anything else these days so ten bucks or so a month is well worth it to me. I'm starting to get very annoyed lately when I see ads in videos themselves. Most of the time I just exit out of the video as soon as I see one, or I fast forward through it. This may be a bit off topic, but I also cannot stand videos with computerized or digitized voice narration. I quickly exit out no matter what the topic is. There, I feel better for venting a little.
