I've been going to a lot of concerts lately just to enjoy the old rock n roll guys. Most are in their 70's and some still do a great job. It's nice to be able to shake their hand and say thank you for all the great music and you hear it today and it still sounds great! Brings back great memories too!
That is fun. I saw Smokey Robinson and Brian Wilson over the past few years.
I also went to a Four Tops/Temptations concert a few years ago. Of course, most of the original members are gone, but the music was good.
But, they had a whole area set aside for wheelchairs, and during one point in the concert, the friend I was with got the giggles and nudged me to look at the man across the aisle, who was enthusiastically pounding his cane on the floor in time to the music.
There was a lot of senior citizens at a Lindsey/McVie concert, two out of the Fleetwood Mac band, I went a few years ago in Palm Springs. One of the perks of retirement is when I saw the billboard advertising this concern on a freeway, I was able to book and go immediately. It was very enjoyable.
Like a lot of members, I do but I try not to focus too much on it because, since I am horribly self critical, what follows is "you should have done this or that instead" which is pointless and a waste of time leading only to sadness.

Brian Wilson was supposed to play locally last year but it got postponed. Hope he will come again. Genius.
I've seen the Four Tops and the Temptations - both excellent 15 and 20 years ago.
I also saw Kool & The Gang back in the 1980's and seriously, they played all night. Super fun concert.
But I'm struck by how nice the artists are to the audience after the show. They sign the autographs, pictures (of course, they probably want you to buy their stuff) but it's nice. I spoke to Susan Cowsill and one of her brothers and fortunately, I had read their family story - they were really kind.
What was interesting is that most of them were getting right back on airplanes to go home or go to the next show.
We saw Gordon Lightfoot at the Mountain Winery in 2017. I'm glad we had that chance. It was a wonderful evening. Dinner at the Winery was possibly the best meal we've ever had.
We have tickets to see Leonid & Friends at the Sonoma County Fair in August. I figure it's a safe bet we'll be back in California in August. Oh yeah.
The original question made me think of what I wonder when I hear of someone in their 90s or 100s. Every night when they go to bed, do they fear that they won’t wake up?
That is the best way to go. No pain, no theatrics, just don't wake up.

We had a similarly enjoyable evening with dinner and a show at the Historic Mountain Winery in 1998 when Phil Collins toured with his big band. In those days, the venue was significantly smaller.
I start looking for a burial plot. To me it is just like looking for a new house. The only difference is the house that I moved in I will just occupy for 60-70 years at most but the burial plot is for the next 100-200 years where I will stay.
To you and to others thinking about burial plots, I suggest watching "To Dust", which you might be able to get either from your local library or Link+.
It's not a great film, and it's also not for the faint of heart, but it is certainly thought-provoking.

Just discvered Leonid since Im an avid Chicago fan . Would love to see them. Yes I think often about having possibly 10 good years left before all the joints give out. Which is why we are traveling so much now. On a remote Greek island...
