Yes, it would be the height of laziness, but why not!!

Every night I have a fairly big salad and it can take quite some time to chew it all down, and I've been thinking: Why not just put it into a blender and drink it instead!!!! And save myself a lot of work! After all, I'm retired now, and don't I deserve this luxury!!!!

I'm even thinking of doing it with other food I labor over, getting it down the hatch. Just blend it instead!

I still have good teeth, but why does it take so long to get it down the hatch?

And what's next? Give up showering? Breathing?

If you don't use it, you lose it.

My jawbones and my teeth have been saying for some time now: Can we retire now too?

Showering? I only shower once a week now, cat baths in between! I never thought the day would come when showering would seem to be a chore!

Shaving? Once a week too!

I'm not a dentist but I'm pretty sure that chewing is good for you because it increases circulation in your jawbone and that's good for your teeth.

And I LOVE texture in my food- living on purees, no matter how healthy the contents, would be boring!

Many of us still find joy and pleasure in cooking, fine dining and eating in general. From my perspective, giving up those pleasures would be like moving one step closer to the grave. Take as many steps in that direction as you want. You can even visit Oregon and speed up the process.

I thought I had seen it all in the retirement forum until now. I guess some people really are bored out of their minds.

What?!

I would think it would be more work to made a smoothie each time I wanted to eat. Now that we're retired, trying out different restaurants is one of the more pleasurable things that I like to do. I guess I like to eat too much!
