I've done other things more often but for a sheer revulsion I've cleaned enough toilet bowls and changed enough diapers to seem like a million. Good thing they are both things I've done out of love for other family members or things could have been bad around here.

Sometimes when I'm cleaning the bowl I have a daydream that when I get to heaven St. Peter is going to look over my list of lifelong tasks to see if I qualify for martyrdom. He's going to frown and then he's going to look at me and in a stern voice say, "We gave you all that great literature and music, pleasing children, a good husband and beautiful prairieland to enjoy and just look at how many hours you spent doing sh---y jobs that no one even noticed."

well, St Peter must've noticed.

I have drawn blood a gazillion times from a gazillion people. I have heard 'you only get one try' a gazillion times and have never slapped the one saying it. I have heard 'you got it. you must be lucky' a gazillion times and never pointed out how insulting that remark is.

Sometimes not doing something counts as much as doing something.

I estimate I've climbed the stairs in this house 131,400 times. Good exercise, I suppose.

I must have washed at least 100,000 dishes. At least it feels that way.

(teacher: may i borrow your knife to cut this string?), i sharpened mine every day.
