How do you guys embed the YouTube videos in your posts? I can't figure out how to do that.

I had just started playing guitar a year before, this was the first really big concert I had been to:

(And I actually hated Kiss, but our bass player loved them.)

About that time though there was a really hot band in the San Gabriel Valley: Sky People, anyone remember them?

Albums that stood out for me anyway would have been:

Rush: All The World's A Stage. 2112.

Boston: First album

Steely Dan, The Royal Scam (I became a regular Steely Dan freak! )

Kansas: Leftoverature

Can't forget Frampton Comes Alive, not a huge fan, but what a splash!

Eagles: Hotel California

Black Sabbath: Technical Ecstasy

Great year for music, I miss the 70s so!

Thx

Just take the youtube address and paste it into the post, thus:

In 1976 I was still in awe of that album released the year before, the greatest thing I'd ever heard, then or since then!

Thx

The Station to Station album was one of his best efforts.
Unmistakable guitar riff at the beginning of this song.

A guys stereo in ‘76 was more important than his girl friend (practically). Listening to albums, borrowing and lending, taping them if you had a cassette deck. The ‘70’s are still my favorite music era. Three Dog Night (“One”, “Joy to the World”, especially) Rod Stewart, ELP, Elton John, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, I still have all their LPs, and cassettes, about 1000 of each. And listen often to them. I will have to see if I have Silk Degrees.

I was in the US Army stationed in Germany in the mid 1970s. I've got lots memories of music from that era, because every Friday and Saturday night, I was probably at a disco somewhere within an hour from my Army post. Abba, the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Doobie Brothers, Bellamy Brothers could be heard almost any night, along with a mix of German schlagermusik (pop type songs in German).

Now that I'm retired, I come here to Germany for the summer and still like going out on weekends to hear some tunes and sip a beer. This summer I'm in Leipzig, a few hundred kilometers east of my old Army post, so sometimes it feels like the past was not so long ago.

I didn't know about the diagnosis. Just looked it up. Sad.

(From Wikipedia: On 22 February 2019 Frampton announced his Peter Frampton Finale—The Farewell Tour commencing on 18 June 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, running through 12 October ending in San Francisco California. The tour features special guest Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening, as well as Peter's son Julian Frampton on the West Coast stops.[47] He also revealed the reason for the farewell tour; he's received a diagnosis that he has inclusion body myositis (IBM), a progressive muscle disorder characterized by muscle inflammation, weakness, and atrophy (wasting).[48]

I listen to the XM radio station "Bluesville" when I am driving, and they play Frampton's newer music.

I graduated from high school in 1976 and turned 18 that summer, when I was finally able to drink legally.

Note: It only works if you do it when creating your post. It doesn't seem to work if you go back to Edit a post and try to add the video in. It will only show a link.
