Has anyone noticed the "name" of the OP for each of these threads? Each is different but a subtle similarity to each one.

I thought we were only allowed one identity. It seems, to me at least, it's one poster using many identifies.

What do you think?

I got it and chuckled that it was posted so quick.

Another one is Godwin's Law but I doubt that would ever pop up in the retirement forum.

It's just kind of dumb and simple-minded.

Or maybe they have OCD and like to count things.

I too don't have much interested in the subject, so I don't bother reading those threads. Just skip 'em if you don't care about 'em.

I was thinking about starting a thread titled "How many useless threads have you started?" but decided not to.

I have enjoyed this forum. Retirement means a new phase in life with new goals and new issues. It can be interesting and valuable to see the preferences and approaches of others. Then there are some silly, fun threads posted entirely for entertainment purposes.

I just puzzled by the appeal of the "how many" threads. They don't seem to be entertaining or fun or informative or valuable. I guess I am missing something because they seem very popular.
gotta agree , nothing interesting at all to me

I think I answered one thread & then found themx pointless so do not even open them anymore. Just ignore them.
