Exactly. No matter how weird the thread is, questions like "how many times a week do you bathe?" get dozens of replies even over a hundred.
As long as people answer them and people like to pretend they serve some kind of purpose, they will continue. It's about being bored and getting attention.

I just pass them by. I get aggravated by the "like-farming" posts on FB such as "Bet you can't name a city without A in its name." I can't figure out why so many people fall for them. I thought my friends and family were more intelligent than that.

I noticed this too so read through their 40 posts yesterday to see if I thought they were a troll. But the poster offers enough information about themselves that they seemed genuine. I think it is just an overly enthusiastic newbie who considers it cool to be able to start threads. So I will just read the ones that interest me and ignore the other threads. They will eventually get bored and start contributing to more interesting threads.

I thought we were only allowed one identity. It seems, to me at least, it's one poster using many identifies.

What do you think?
I see them all from the same poster.

No thread about how may times a week retirees have sex yet? Maybe there’s one coming.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand what 42 means?

A full forty-nine percent of us are below average.

Reminds me of the people who are amused by taking turns naming flowers in a game sub forum. Sometimes I'll even drop in and do my part.

They're okay. Different strokes for different folks. Sometimes reading through them I find out a little more about who you are. Like to have a mental picture of people with whom I'm conversing and this helps.
