I never complained. I never mentioned they were inappropriate or should be removed or they bothered me. I merely asked why those threads were so popular with lots of similar threads and lots of responses. I am still not sure I understand.

The G20 just declared us old folks a "global risk". Maybe that poster is gathering evidence ?
I just chalked it up to college thesis and/or poll for some uninteresting article on retired folks.

We used to call it "splat" and "star".
Not only used for coding though and still can be used today for searching.
