If you drink alcohol, what time do you usually have your first (or only) drink?

Has this changed in retirement?

Just with dinner at about 7:00 IF we have wine, and we finish the bottle after dinner; we go through about three or four bottles a week. We very, very seldom drink anything else that's alcoholic. (We might have six bottles of beer each during the entire summer, and we have one 1.5 liter of Irish Cream that lasts the entire fall and winter; we have that with coffee.)

And, no, this has not changed in retirement at all, except that now we have good bottles of wine instead of the stuff that comes in a box!

I don't even average one drink a month. But when I do, it is usually in the evening.

Not that long ago, I used to have a glass of wine with lunch around 11am, then a beer around 3pm, and a glass of wine with dinner around 5. For the longest time, that was great, until I got on the pill mill, now a days, it’s a sip here and there.

Very rare but it would be free, white wine, and as happy hour as I had some recently at the Fairmont in SF. So I say before 6 PM.
