Congrats on your retirement. I worked for WorldCom before Verizon bought them for pennies on the dollar. I made a wise career move getting out of that industry before the bottom fell out.

I would guess about 1/2 the people that retire, their health improves. The ones with improved health, start to eat right, exercise more and do things they enjoy doing. The key is being retired and the free time to do the things I mentioned.

The other half retire and become couch potatoes, don't eat right and increase alcohol consumption. Often their health takes a turn for the worse quickly.

I have seen it go both ways.

oh you dog! lol. Well I've always enjoyed your posts, which is why I came to this thread. I have about ten more years to get there.

But meanwhile, I'm in a job that tends to sap the soul right out of me at times.

Do you have any advice? Don't tell me to quit, because I have A LOT riding on this for my future retirement. What does one do in order not to make themselves sick working with incompetent managers, and sad coworkers who are literally afraid to partake in any normal candid conversation? There's really zero collaboration or free conversation. That's because management treats us like children even though we are long term professionals in our fields of study.

It's a government job, so therefore we stay for the pension and other generous benefits.

Curious, what advice, if any, can you provide to keep ourselves healthy for those of us committed to stay in a sick environment?

I personally love that you're now able to do what you love doing. I'm right behind ya. Not a hunter at all, but have a zillion other interests and will never be bored upon retirement. I hope to stay healthy in the process and follow your lead.

I don't know what PSA is, and I don't care enough to google it. Apparently it's good, so good for you.

I don't understand why anyone would come to this forum and would post pictures of themselves and then describe that how they lied and cheated. I guess some people just have no integrity or honesty and don't even understand the meaning of those words.
