I am hybrid Jew - politically very conservative, wear cowboy hat, ex-cop, have guns, have truck, have a rottweiler dog. Left Seattle for Boise, IDAHO because I couldn't take the socialist state any longer!

Wife is retiring and looking for a home. Can take a plane to see the 6 grandchildren in the wetlands.
Look for Dr Browns in the Jewish Food section of the supermarket. They may not have it all the time so when I see it, I buy some. During the Jewish holidays is when you are most likely to see it; I stock up on their cherry soda. I'm in VT so also do not have access to a good pastrami sandwich.

Constitutional Conservative! Pro-Life, pro 2nd amendment, no such thing as "Palestinians" - the British called everyone that lived there that including Jews. I am a Zionist too!

What do Palestinians and Martians have in common?

Neither one exists.

We made Aliyah and lived in Jerusalem. It was great! Couldn't afford to live there though. No Jewish delis there but great hummus!!!

I agree with all you said 100%. And am a Christian Zionist that stands with Israel, and her right to ALL of the Land.

OK, just getting clear.

You attend Conservative synagogue ( for the goyim: it means not Orthodox but observant, not Reform) and you are politically conservative (constitutionalist, small government, etc.)

It's a long way from Seattle but again I suggest you look into Dallas. I mean, you can figure out how to eat, your family can get on a plane, but aging with a bunch of friends and social circle who are simpatico is important.

There's a sizable Jewish community in Dallas, mostly Ashkenazi, surely a couple Conservative synagogues. The political climate is politically conservative as well. I can't imagine that you couldn't make friends with some politically conservative folks at the synagogue in North Dallas.

Only thing is: No good delis. Unless I've been sleeping the last good one closed some years ago. Maybe someone has rushed in to fill the void. I'm pretty sick of Einstein's bagels.

Oh, that's wonderful, good for you guys. So you have dual citizenship? Gee, with so many Jews I would have thought there would be lots of delis in Jerusalem. But then there are lots of Russian Jews, and those from Europe, and elsewhere so I guess delis aren't a worldwide thing. That's too bad, but maybe with more American Jews making Israel their home delis will become a thing there. One can only hope. Maybe this will help a little, cheers.

Default ...little New York...

Ghent in Norfolk, Virginia. Kosher deli within walking distance. Great area for anyone. Cinema, DVD rental (very popular, locally). There is an Orthodox synagogue and a Conservative synagogue.
