I havee not traveled extensively through each of the suggested locations, but I can pretty much tell you that finding a good jewish style ny deli is not a realistic attainable goal. You might just have to resign yourself to either finding something marginally acceptable or shipping in and paying top dollar.

As for Republican Jewish Conservative, there are actually a lot more than most people think. Thank you to whoever posted the link to the Republican Jewish Coalition. It's real and exists with lots of members.

To the original poster, good luck finding your place. We searched in a more limited region and are very happy where we ended up, but I think we learned that getting ALL the wants was not realistic so we settled on some but are extremely happy where we are.

I'll echo Norfolk, but I'd highly recommend Roanoke, VA as well. It has two synagogues, one Conservative and one Reform, and a popular kosher deli too. Roanoke is in an area where hunting is popular, and you can go a little further out to the mountains for more hunting and fishing as well. There are some beautiful older homes in and around Roanoke at very affordable price points, and there are definitely four seasons there. If I hadn't relocated to my current location last year due to my health I would have strongly considered moving there.

I am hybrid Jew - politically very conservative, wear cowboy hat, ex-cop, have guns, have truck, have a rottweiler dog. Left Seattle for Boise, IDAHO because I couldn't take the socialist state any longer!

Wife is retiring and looking for a home. Can take a plane to see the 6 grandchildren in the wetlands.
This is such an essentialisation of Jews that I am aghast that this passes for a thread. What an earth is a hybrid Jew?

What exactly is your Jewish ideal? Everything else you enumerate as qualities are political stances. Political stance is not the same as cultural or religious beliefs. For instance most jews, because of their own millennia persecution by Christians, are against racism, concentration camps. They are always the first to speak up against racism of any kind.

To move somewhere that you don't like ALL the attributes of....just for political purposes...seems crazy, but......

Florida has very large Conserative and Orthodox communities (even that little string is up on the boardwalk), mostly from Bar Harbor south.

Palm Beach, as we see with Mr. Epstein, Trump, AMI and friends...is more "bohemian" conservative.

A truism about Jewish folks is that tend urban (I know....since I am one of them)....and, yes, one could easily live in SoCal (if they had the scratch) which is where Nixon and Reagan had their political followings.

IMHO, it really depends on what you want to do each day after you wake up. Florida is HOT HOT HOT...it has traffic galore, etc.

Many Floridians with the bucks also have a northern home.
