Just wondering how many elders use cannabis (marijuana).

If you use it, please describe if you use it for medical issues and/or recreation.

When I was in my 20s, I smoked occasionally and several times it gave me bronchitis. I'm just not cut out to smoke anything.

I need a "not yet" option in the poll. I'm thinking about requesting medical marijuana for IBS flare-ups.

I had fun smoking pot 50 years ago. I have better things to do with my time now.

My observations is that friends who use "medical" marijuana would not be using it if it didn't also give them a buzz. Kind of like drinking fine wine - I suspect most people wouldn't drink wine if it had no ethanol in it.

You need to do more observing then because your conclusion is false. Maybe your sample size of participants is too small. My observations and research show that people who use it medically would rather not get buzzed, they just want to feel better.

Real medical users tend to go for CBD oil or cannabis with lower THC and higher CBD levels. Some believe they need to use some strains with both CBD & THC in varying percentages, because they believe in the synergistic effects of using in using THC & CBD in proportionate amounts.

I would like to use it. Still have my stone pipe but pot has changed from the homegrown I smoked in the 70's and I am afraid to try. I think I would like a lower THC strain.

I would use it if it were legal in Texas for pain, but in a paste or oil.
