Just wondering how elders on this forum are *feeling* . . .

After a lifetime of experiences, what is your current state of happiness and mental wellness?

Are you a good coper? Have you always been resilient?

Maybe you have had an easy life with few traumas.

Maybe you have been through the wringer.

How are you doing now after all of it?

Bummer: I wanted to create a poll, but something went wrong and I can't edit it to include a poll now.

Usually contented, sometimes depressed, but right now this minute, aggravated. (I really do need to tear myself away from the P&OC forum sooner and more frequently, lol! -- but I don't because I feel that participating in it sharpens my mind.)

However, after rereading the OP, living almost 66 years with all the tragedies in my life, I do feel more resilient and more accepting when things go wrong. However, I also feel more pessimistic and no longer expect things to go well -- but maybe that's a good thing?

I'll cop to being an "elder" LOL. I've been through some difficult times, as I assume everyone has, and my mental state these days is content. I feel good physically (knock on wood), I'm able to live within my modest income, and I have a good relationship with my siblings, my kids, and my grandchild. Can't ask for more than that.
