Just for fun, my husband plugged some figures into some online calculator and told me that if we both live to be 87, we'll have about $3000 left. (Or was it $300?) We don't have kids to leave money to, but we also don't have kids to take care of us in our last years.

I buy a bag of Pilon coffee (Publix BOGO), and it lasts me 2 months! That's about $0.05 for a cup of great coffee!
One of my pleasures at this point is a quality organic coffee and not the cheap rot gut coffee..and I spend money on quality water and no longer buy any alcohol, don't need or want it. And cut out steaks pretty much and buy grass fed ground meats..

Amen to that.

I don't NEED much or WANT much and what I do, I get it. I'd like to leave my only child some cash when I leave this earth.

And delete all those "Sale" e-mails from every on-line retailer you've ever dealt with. I auto-delete some and have unsubscribed from others but I keep some of them coming (Sherwin-Williams, for example) so I know when I can get deals when I'm actually ready to buy. No random browsing!
