I'm sorry if this has been covered before and I imagine maybe it has and I'm sure parts of it has, like with the cutting cable thread. There are many pretty well known things like senior discounts at restaurants. (I don't qualify for all of them yet)

I'd be interested in programs that those who are retired can take advantage of to pay out less. I already cut cable and I've started on the process of cutting cell phone costs. (anything cheaper than $100 a month for 4 phones unlimited)?

There has to be a lot of things I've not even considered yet.

Why are you paying for 4 phones? Pass the costs around. You can get cheaper service, I have a spare phone it is by Ting, & it costs about $7 a month. You will have to look up the limitations. Don't use the phone for internet, if you have a laptop or desktop. Then you might not need unlimited.

I always do my grocery shopping on senior discount days, and I use store coupons.

I'm not hoarding my money. I have no intention of dying with a fat bank account while depriving myself of everything.

I agree, but I also like to live cheaply & save the money for a destination vacation, cos that is what we love to do.

No land line here. My wife and I each have Virgin Mobile prepay service...$30 a month. No contract. We bought our iPhones upfront with Virgin Mobile.

Myself, my wife, my daughter just starting college and a step son that just moved out into his own home, saving us far more than the extra $25.

I don't know that I have ever seen Senior Discount days around here. I'll have to look that up. Thanks.

I will be spending my money also and won't die with a fat bank account but I still see nothing wrong with saving money where one can.

We look for happy hour food and drink specials because we can eat earlier than people that work.
