WA State (income tax free)
ACA Bronze ($5700 per person deductible)
Premium = $3.31 for 2 if MAGI stays under $65,840 (Premium is $2300 if income is $65,841+)
This plan was not initially available (& we could not qualify)

Medicare + supplement will = a big increase in HC premium costs, but coverage should be better.

Will likely move overseas, as USA HC quality and coverage is not always so great.

So not sure what he made or what they saved but I will say that most folks who do something such as this don't measure "security" with just cash.
