Would you say sex is still important? Especially for women, when you hit your 50s did you care?

I was never in the habit of paying men for sex.

Why, OP? Are you looking to get it on with Sophia Loren?

I'm 66 and while the annoying constant hum of desire eased in my 30s, I have never lost the interest. No reasonable partners for some time, but instituting emotional quality control means for me that you stay home many a night with a good book.

Nope. But I’m also not seeking a relationship, so it all works out.

One of the reasons I got divorced is because I lost interest in sex and was tired of being pestered for it. With working, having kids late in life, and a marriage that was waning I was totally drained. Sex just became one more expectation I had to fulfill. I thought it best to cut the hubs loose so that he could find someone who could better meet his needs.

After I broke up with my long-term BF in 2007, I was glad to not have that chore anymore. (I mean, it felt like a chore after 7 years of him.) But now at age 69, I would like to give it one more whirl before I die. Problem is, I cannot imagine I'd be turned-on by anyone my age. They look too...old! But I doubt a younger guy would want my 69-year-old a** either. So...probably not gonna happen.

Ditto here! Men my age are too old for me

Yes, absolutely, and we have been married for forty-six years.

Have not lost interest in it. But when I think about all the other stuff that goes along with it, my interest definitely loses its punch.

For me, having to live with someone (full or part time) does not appeal to me.

I was married for 20+ years to a man who had sex with anything that agreed to having it with him. After our 2nd child was born, he never wanted to have it with me again.

I'm over that (the feeling of being rejected).
